posted 5 months ago by nancy

hello every one

i have a question, i had surgery back in Sept for the 4th time and my doctor told me that there wasn't alot of endo growing, and so i have been taking nuva ring continus, but i am still getting alot of pain and its shrap and strong and i am tired of all the meds for pain. the doctor is trying to push lupron on me and i dont feel comfortable doing it. what can i do for pain? and is there anything i should be worrying about if it could be something else that the doctor didnt look for?

thanks once again

Funny, cause I had my 4th surgery last July 31st, and she found Endo, but not a HUGE amount like the last three times....and Iv had pain sooner this time then with the other times....is your pain CONSTANT? Mine isn't constant, but when it hurts...it really hurts. I'v learned alot over the yrs, and I found from my own and other people's experiences that you never just single it out to Endo....it could be anything. Cysts....fibroids....pelvic floor muscles...or something BIZARRE....and honestly, may even be scar tissue rapidly growing from so many surgeries and /or just nerve damage in your uterus from continuous Endo & continuous pain. Wish I had a better answer for you, Im in the same boat...ya just never know with endo & every body is different. I hope u feel better tho!  I am totally against Lupron....basically all u can do is dont over stress yourself, get someone to massage ur lower back and ur sides in the same area on either side of ur pelvic area (that helps me) get lot's of rest and heating pads..hot water thingys...and of coarse the pain pills.....but above all make sure u continue on the b.c. b/c as Im sure u already know, it slows down Endo growth. I would def not stop at...there's no Endo so I shouldn have pain....have ur doctor investigate b/c anything could happen or be wrong.

seeing my Dr on Monday, I hope she is able to tell me if the pain and
discomfort is normal as I also had a myomectomy on the same day.
